BAPE and SpongeBob Reunite. T-Shirts, iPhone Cases and More

Japanese brand “A BATHING APE” (BAPE) and American animation series “SpongeBob SquarePants” team up for the second time under the theme “Resume.”

For the first collaboration taking place in 2008, SpongeBob SquarePants and his best friend Patrick Star visited gorilla mascot BABY MILO (R)’s world. This time, BAPE's BABY MILO (R) visits the fictional underwater city of Bikini Bottom where SpongeBob lives. To commemorate the collaboration, an in-store event will be held at BAPE STORE Shibuya on Aug 16.

A doll of BABY MILO (R) wearing SpongeBob on his head (12,800 yen), T-shirts of the characters (7,000 yen for adult sizes and 5,200 yen for children’s sizes), crew necks decorated with the characters (17,800 yen for adult cheap bape outlet sizes and 12,800 yen for children’s sizes), full zip hoodies (27,800 yen for adult sizes and 16,800 yen for children’s sizes), iPhone case (6,000 yen) and more will go on sale on the same day as the in-store event.

SpongeBob SquarePants is an American animated television series for children ranking number one for over ten years. The namesake main character is a square-shaped and yellow sea sponge. His friends include starfish Patrick Star, squirrel Sandy Cheeks and pet snail Gary.
